The dentist studies a 3D scan (CT) and plans the position of the four implants.
Under anesthesia, the dentist removes the teeth that cannot be saved and places four implants: two straight at the front, two angled at the sides.
A fixed temporary prosthesis is made from digital impressions and attached to the implants on the day of surgery or within 1–3 days.
The implants fuse with the bone over 4–6 months, and you wear the temporary prosthesis the whole time.
Once the implants have healed, the temporary prosthesis is replaced with a permanent metal-ceramic or zirconia one.

What is the advantage of All-on-4 over regular implants?
All-on-4 restores all the teeth of one jaw on four implants, with no separate implant for every missing tooth. The side implants are placed at an angle, so in most cases lengthy bone grafting can be avoided.
Can I get teeth in one day?
After the implants are placed, impressions are taken, and within 1–3 days a fixed temporary prosthesis is attached. You can smile and eat soft food with it.
How long does the temporary prosthesis last?
The temporary prosthesis is designed for the implant healing period, 4 to 6 months. It is then replaced with a permanent ceramic or zirconia restoration.
Does the surgery hurt?
The procedure is done under anesthesia. The dentist will go over the anesthesia options at your consultation.
How do I care for a prosthesis on four implants?
Brush it daily with a toothbrush and toothpaste, flush the space under the prosthesis with a water flosser, and come in for professional cleaning twice a year. Soft food is recommended for the first 2–3 months after the temporary prosthesis is attached.
Who should not have All-on-4 implants?
The procedure is not performed in cases of uncontrolled diabetes, severe heart, vascular or respiratory disease, autoimmune disorders, immunodeficiency, or during pregnancy. The dentist makes the final decision after 3D diagnostics and an assessment of your overall health.
How much does All-on-4 cost?
The cost depends on the implant system (Osstem, Neodent, MegaGen or Straumann) and the material of the permanent prosthesis. The dentist sets the full cost of the surgical and prosthetic stages in your treatment plan before the surgery. You can pay in installments through PrivatBank.

The protocol is designed for people with no teeth in the upper or lower jaw, and for those whose teeth can no longer be saved: badly damaged or loose because of periodontitis. It is often chosen by people who have worn a removable acrylic denture for years and want to switch to a fixed restoration. How All-on-4 differs from a removable denture
A removable acrylic denture can shift while you talk or eat. An All-on-4 restoration is anchored on implants, so it stays in place even when you chew or laugh. The prosthesis does not cover the palate: you taste your food fully, and it does not trigger a gag reflex. One more difference is that the fixed temporary prosthesis is attached on the day of surgery or within a few days, so you never need a period with a removable denture.
