We treat cavities in baby and permanent teeth: the dentist numbs the gums with a gel, gently cleans out the decayed tissue and places a filling. The child can pick the color of the filling.

What we treat and how: pick a step
Baby tooth
Baby tooth enamel is thinner than an adult's, and beneath the baby tooth the permanent tooth bud is growing in the bone.
A cavity starts as a spot on the enamel. If it is not stopped, it destroys the dentin and gets closer to the nerve of the tooth.
First the gums are treated with a fruit-flavored gel, then a tiny injection is given.
The dentist gently removes the decayed tissue, with no pressure.
The cavity is filled with a filling in a color the child can pick, and then the filling is polished.
Enamel
The outer layer of the tooth. In baby teeth it is less mineralized, so cavities develop faster.
Pulp
The soft tissue with the nerve inside the tooth.
Permanent tooth bud
Grows beneath the baby tooth. An untreated cavity can damage it.
Spot on the enamel
A white, yellowish or dark spot: this is how a surface cavity begins.
Cavity in the dentin
A deep cavity destroys the dentin and gets closer to the nerve.
Pulp
Without treatment, a cavity in a child quickly turns into pulpitis.
Gel on the gums
A fruit-flavored topical gel numbs the gums.
Tiny injection
The anesthetic is given only after the gel.
Cleaned cavity
The dentist removes the decayed tissue with gentle, atraumatic techniques.
Instrument
The dentist works gently, with no pressure.
Healthy tissue
The earlier a cavity is found, the more of the tooth's own tissue can be saved.
Colored filling
A fluoride-releasing, light-cured composite for children. The child picks the color.
Polished surface
The filling is polished, and parents get advice on home care.
Permanent tooth bud
A treated baby tooth stays in place until it is naturally replaced by the permanent one.
Cavity treatment for children means removing the decayed tissue of a baby or permanent tooth under two-step anesthesia and filling the cavity, including with a colored filling in a color the child chooses.

Yes. An untreated cavity in a baby tooth quickly leads to pulpitis and periodontitis. This causes pain, can damage the permanent tooth buds, or can affect the bite if the tooth has to be pulled early.
Anesthesia is done in two steps. First the gums are treated with a fruit-flavored topical gel, and only then is a tiny injection given.
They are light-cured composites for children's baby teeth. They are durable and release fluoride, which strengthens the enamel. The child picks the color, which makes the treatment easier to understand.
Usually 30 to 45 minutes. The child does not get tired in that time.
Talk about the visit calmly and positively, as a chance to meet a dentist who will clean their tooth. Avoid worrying words like "shot," "pain," "drill" or "don't be scared."
Baby tooth enamel is less mineralized, so it is more vulnerable to bacteria. Sweets, sugary drinks or milk at night, and poor brushing without a parent's help all contribute to cavities.

Dr. Lesia Volodymyrivna is a very professional doctor. Your children's teeth will stay healthy for a long time. If she treats them, she does it very well, not just quickly so the child doesn't cry. At other dental offices they treated us that way and didn't fully treat the cavities, just to get it over with. Lesia Volodymyrivna has a different approach: she is a master of her craft and treats her patients' little teeth very conscientiously. Thank you.
We've seen Dr. Olesia Volodymyrivna twice and liked it very much🥰 The doctor is attentive, pleasant and professional🔥 My son is 7 and we managed without anesthesia) They treated cavities in his permanent teeth and placed fillings Thank you and see you again)
Olesia Volodymyrivna is a wonderful doctor. She treated my 3-year-old's teeth in one appointment. We're very pleased
Everything went super, they treated 2 of my child's teeth in an hour. Ms. Olesia did everything very professionally, and at the end they gave a sticker and a healthy lollipop. My daughter was in a good mood the whole visit, not a single tear 👌
Many thanks to Dr. Olesia Volodymyrivna, her assistant Anna and the front desk administrator. They treated my child's tooth completely painlessly and well! We are regular patients
We had my son's tooth treated by Olesia Volodymyrivna. A wonderful doctor! Only positive reviews) Thank you!
We saw Olesia Volodymyrivna Savytska and had my child's teeth treated. A very sensitive, gentle and professional doctor. Only positive emotions.
I really liked the service. I came on a colleague's recommendation; they treated my 10-year-old's teeth. Dr. Savytska made everything perfect and painless! I recommend her!
This is our second visit to Dr. Olesia. Very professional and great with children. Everything was treated, and now we're enjoying life :)
Olesia Volodymyrivna is a wonderful children's dentist. Sincere thanks for treating my child's teeth
We took our child to Olesia Volodymyrivna for fissure sealing. We're happy with the doctor's work! Everything was quick and painless👍
I really liked this dental office. A pleasant atmosphere and a friendly attitude. I was very worried about how my son (8 years old) would handle an upper lip frenulum procedure (recommended by more than one orthodontist). So we decided to go ahead and didn't regret our choice of place and doctor, Viacheslav Vasylovych. He explained how the procedure would go, found an approach to the child, calmed him down and did everything very quickly, professionally and precisely))) So I recommend this dental office to everyone! A child's teeth are the foundation of health, and the sooner you solve problems, the better.
We came to an appointment with Viacheslav Vasylovych with my 7-year-old son. He saw my son with an urgent problem (there was a fistula on the gum, pus was coming out, his cheek was swollen). The doctor first found an approach to the child, explained everything, and removed the little tooth. Everything went great, considering that my son used to be afraid of dentists. I'd also like to mention the dental assistant, who also did everything wonderfully. And special thanks to the administrator, who understood our problem and recommended the doctor❤️ Thank you so much!
Many thanks to Dr. Yaroslav Olehovych for his professionalism, patience and caring attitude towards my 10-year-old daughter, who is now his patient! My daughter said she will only go to Dr. Yaroslav from now on😁 The staff are friendly and caring. Thank you and I wish you prosperity!

The first sign is white, yellowish or dark spots on the enamel. Later a visible hole in the tooth may appear, food may get stuck between the teeth and the child may have bad breath. Sometimes dental floss gets stuck in the tooth.
Take note if your child complains of pain from sweet, hot or cold things or chews on one side only. A hidden cavity can be found by the dentist at a routine checkup before any complaints.
A surface cavity affects only the top layer of enamel and looks like a spot or a slightly rough patch. If it is not stopped, it becomes deep, destroys the dentin and gets closer to the nerve of the tooth. At that point, root canal treatment may already be needed.
At an early stage, the tooth is treated faster and more of its own tissue is saved. The child spends less time in the chair, and the visit is easier to handle.
The amount depends on the depth of the cavity and the filling material. Per the price list, a composite filling for a baby tooth costs from 1,500 to 2,000 UAH. The dentist gives the final price after the exam, before treatment starts.
If several teeth need treatment, you can spread the cost with installments through PrivatBank. We also see patients under health insurance programs. The full price list is on the Prices page.
