What we treat and how: pick a step
Exam
The surgeon examines the frenulum. A short or tight frenulum can affect speech, bite and gum health.
The area is numbed with an anesthetic gel, then a local anesthetic is injected.
The frenulum is released with a laser or a scalpel. The dentist chooses the method based on age and anatomy.
The area is treated with an antiseptic to help it heal.
Stitches are placed only if needed, with the classic scalpel technique. The dentist gives aftercare advice.
Frenulum
A short or tight lip frenulum pulls on the gum tissue.
Diastema
A gap between the front teeth caused by the pull of the upper lip frenulum.
Gums
Constant pulling on the gum tissue can expose the necks of the teeth (gum recession).
Anesthetic gel
Thanks to the gel, even the injection is barely felt.
Local anesthetic
Injected after the gel.
Laser or scalpel
The laser cuts the tissue and seals the blood vessels at the same time.
Released frenulum
The procedure takes 10–20 minutes, including the time for the anesthesia to work.
Antiseptic
The area is treated to help it heal.
Treated area
After a laser release, bleeding is minimal and no stitches are needed.
Stitches
Dissolvable; placed only if needed, with the classic scalpel technique.
Aftercare
For 2–3 days, avoid hot, sour and spicy food and gently rinse with an antiseptic (hold it in your mouth without swishing).
A frenectomy (frenuloplasty) is the release of a short or tight tongue or lip frenulum with a laser or a scalpel under local anesthesia, for children and adults.

Laser or scalpel
depending on age and anatomyThe laser cuts the tissue and seals the blood vessels at the same time: bleeding is minimal and no stitches are needed.
Before the injection, the area is numbed with an anesthetic gel, then a local anesthetic is injected.
The dentist chooses the technique based on the patient's age and the anatomy of the frenulum.
A frenectomy is done on an orthodontist's referral or before prosthetic work and implants.
The procedure takes 10 to 20 minutes, including the time for the anesthesia to work.
The surgeon examines the anatomy of the frenulum.
Numbing gel and a local anesthetic.
The frenulum is released with a laser or a scalpel.
The area is treated to help it heal.
With the classic scalpel technique, dissolvable stitches are placed and the dentist gives aftercare advice.
Prices are per the price list. The dentist draws up a treatment plan with costs after an exam and diagnostics.
For infants, a tongue-tie release is done in the first months of life. For children, the lip frenulum is usually released at 5–7 years old, while the baby teeth are being replaced, on the advice of an orthodontist or speech therapist. Adults can have it done at any age when there is a medical reason.
The procedure is done under local anesthesia. Before the injection, the area is numbed with an anesthetic gel, so you barely feel the needle.
The laser cuts the tissue and seals the blood vessels at the same time. No stitches are needed, there is less risk of swelling, and recovery takes 2–3 days.
10 to 20 minutes, including the time for the anesthesia to work.
For 2–3 days, avoid hot, sour and spicy food and gently rinse with an antiseptic (hold it in your mouth without swishing). If your dentist recommends it, do light tongue or lip exercises.
In children, a short frenulum can lead to bite problems, a gap between the teeth and a lisp. In adults, it pulls on the gums, which exposes the necks of the teeth and leads to periodontitis.

I really liked this dental office. A pleasant atmosphere and a friendly attitude. I was very worried about how my son (8 years old) would handle an upper lip frenulum procedure (recommended by more than one orthodontist). So we decided to go ahead and didn't regret our choice of place and doctor, Viacheslav Vasylovych. He explained how the procedure would go, found an approach to the child, calmed him down and did everything very quickly, professionally and precisely))) So I recommend this dental office to everyone! A child's teeth are the foundation of health, and the sooner you solve problems, the better.
On 4 April 2026 we saw oral surgeon Viacheslav Vasylovych for a tongue-tie release for our 8-year-old child. The doctor has a wonderful approach, the child wasn't afraid! He did everything quickly and professionally! We're happy with the result! We recommend him!💪💪💪
I want to say a heartfelt thank you to Eurozet dentistry in Obolon, and especially to Dr. Viacheslav Vasylovych and his assistant Anastasiia. The tooth extraction went much easier than I expected. Dr. Viacheslav Vasylovych is a true professional: he explained everything clearly and did everything very carefully and confidently. What impressed me most was his manner — calm, attentive and caring throughout the procedure. Thanks to the doctor's professionalism, everything was painless and comfortable. Special thanks to Anastasiia for her help and the pleasant atmosphere. It's great when people truly love what they do. I recommend Dr. Viacheslav Vasylovych and Eurozet — quality, professionalism and a human touch at a high level!
Today, at almost 20:00, I urgently started looking for a dentist and luckily found Eurozet. They didn't turn me away, saw me right away, removed the tooth and put in stitches completely painlessly. The whole staff and the doctor are true professionals, gifted! I'm very grateful for the fast, high-quality and caring help. I recommend them to everyone! 🌟🦷
I want to leave the warmest review of Eurozet dentistry and express huge gratitude to the oral surgeon Viacheslav Vasylovych. Going to a surgical appointment is always stressful, but from the very first minutes the doctor set a positive mood and completely took away all my worries. 😎Why I recommend this doctor and this dental office: A surgeon's golden hands: Viacheslav Vasylovych is an absolute professional. The procedure (which is usually scary) went incredibly quickly, precisely and, most importantly, completely painlessly. The doctor has a very light touch. Care for the patient: Before starting, the doctor explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, and afterwards gave clear, understandable recommendations on aftercare and recovery. Thanks to this, healing was quick and without any complications. Service and equipment: The office itself has a pleasant atmosphere, everything is sterile, and the equipment and materials are state-of-the-art. The reception staff are very friendly and polite.
Good afternoon! I want to thank the surgeon Viacheslav Vasylovych: a very attentive, calm and reliable doctor. The patient, my 80-year-old mom, came out after having 2 teeth removed feeling like she had wings. She said nobody had ever worked with her teeth so gently. I'd like to add: nothing unnecessary, quick, all X-rays taken on the spot (in the treatment room), and a detailed medical history taken before anesthesia. Given the extent of the extraction, I expected it to hurt in the evening, but no, the doctor has a light touch. I recommend him, and thank you!
We came to an appointment with Viacheslav Vasylovych with my 7-year-old son. He saw my son with an urgent problem (there was a fistula on the gum, pus was coming out, his cheek was swollen). The doctor first found an approach to the child, explained everything, and removed the little tooth. Everything went great, considering that my son used to be afraid of dentists. I'd also like to mention the dental assistant, who also did everything wonderfully. And special thanks to the administrator, who understood our problem and recommended the doctor❤️ Thank you so much!
My long and complicated treatment at this dental office has been successfully completed. Sincere thanks to oral surgeon Viacheslav Vasylovych for his professionalism, attentiveness and support)) Thank you to prosthodontist Maksym Oleksandrovych!
I had my wisdom teeth removed, all 4 at once under sedation, by Maksym Oleksandrovych. Everything went great, with a quick and fairly easy recovery. I recommend him 🙌🏻
A very good dental office. My appointment was with Dr. Vladyslav Yuriiovych; I had a complaint about a wisdom tooth. The doctor gave me advice and explained everything. Everything was done properly. Comfortable conditions and service. They gave me an anti-stress hand toy ❤️
I want to thank oral surgeon Maksym Oleksandrovych for his quality work. Yesterday I had a wisdom tooth removed, and Maksym Oleksandrovych did everything quickly, painlessly and well. Even after the anesthesia wore off, there was no swelling or pain. I'm very pleased with the visit! I recommend him!
I had 3 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Viacheslav Vasylovych. Professional work, and I recovered very quickly after the surgery. A sensitive, attentive and caring doctor. Thank you!
I really liked this dental office. Viacheslav Vasylovych is a good doctor who knows his job. (He removed a wisdom tooth that was already badly damaged.) He removed it so that I didn't even notice when it happened)) With doctors like this, I'll finally be able to overcome my fear of the dentist))

A short or overly tight frenulum shows up differently at different ages. In infants, it can make breastfeeding and swallowing difficult. In children, it can make it hard to pronounce hissing sounds like s and sh, as well as r and l, and the pull of the upper lip frenulum can open a gap between the front teeth (a diastema). In adults, the constant pull on the gum tissue exposes the necks of the teeth and promotes gum inflammation. Patients are often referred for a frenectomy by a speech therapist, pediatrician or orthodontist.
The surgeon chooses the method after an exam, taking into account your age and the anatomy of the frenulum. The laser works without contact: it cuts the tissue, seals small blood vessels and disinfects the wound all at once. There is practically no bleeding, no stitches are placed, and the next day you can eat and talk as usual. With the classic technique, the frenulum is cut with a scalpel and dissolvable stitches are placed if needed.
Per the price list, a tongue or lip frenectomy costs 3,000 UAH. The price is fixed and does not change during the procedure: it already includes anesthesia, surgical materials and a follow-up check, so there is nothing extra to pay. The surgeon agrees on the method (laser or classic) and the scope of the procedure with you during the consultation, before the release begins. All prices are listed on the Prices page.
