The dentist assesses the gum tissue, the remaining teeth and the bone, and chooses the type of denture.
An impression is taken with a custom tray so that the base follows the contours of the gum ridge exactly.
The dentist records how the jaws meet so that the denture does not get in the way of your bite.
At the wax try-in, the fit, shape and color of the teeth are checked and adjusted if needed.
The finished denture is fitted, and over the first few weeks the dentist adjusts any spots that press.

How long does it take to get used to an acrylic denture?
Usually from two weeks to a month. At first you may notice more saliva, a change in your speech and the feeling of something foreign in your mouth; this is normal. Speech recovers faster if you read aloud for the first few days, and hard food should be introduced gradually.
What is the difference between an acrylic and a nylon denture?
The acrylic base is rigid: it spreads the chewing load better and is easier to adjust and reline. The nylon one is softer and less noticeable thanks to its flexible clasps, but it holds its shape less well. The choice depends on how many teeth are missing and the condition of the gum tissue; the dentist will advise you after the exam.
How do I care for an acrylic denture?
Take the denture out and rinse it after meals, and brush it twice a day with a soft brush and soap or a special denture cleaner. Abrasive toothpaste scratches acrylic, and hot water warps the base. Overnight, it is best to keep the denture in a container with a denture-cleaning solution.
How long does an acrylic denture last?
Roughly 3–5 years. The lifespan depends mainly on changes in the jaw: the bone gradually shrinks and the denture fits less tightly. Then it is relined, without making a new one.
What if the denture rubs or presses?
Do not put up with the discomfort, and do not try to file down the denture yourself. Over the first few weeks the dentist makes several adjustments, grinding down the areas of the base that press on the gum. Usually 2–3 visits are enough.

My husband and I take care of our teeth all the time. We were treated at a German dental practice, then a Turkish one, so we have something to compare with. We came to Eurozet with a difficult situation: after the Turkish doctors, the implants weren't taking, and they had to clean twice because small fragments were left after poorly cleaned sites from tooth extractions.
